When the world feels like glass
Ready to break
Your smile gives me hope
When I don’t know how much more I can take
When these four walls around me
Feel like they’ll cave in
You put your little hand in mine
And I know we can win
When the skies are filled with storm clouds
And heavy rains are near
I remember the sunshine
That made my life clearer
The first time I held you
I wondered how it could be
That someone so special
Could have been born from me
You were so tiny
But your spirit is strong
You have taught me to love
And how to keep holding on
So whenever you’re down
And the world seems so gray
Just remember I love you
More than I could ever say
You’re beautiful the way you are
With your big heart and laughing eyes
I’m proud to have you as my daughter
You are the best part of my life.
This writing is so touchingly beautiful
I should think it would be an honor to be one,
a daughter born to you
Such tender the devoted love
...and too I think the words that any daughter grown
would covet hearing from the one that had birthed them
Very sweet and full of passionate love and caring.
Aw, how sweet!
